I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately from people about all the fun gadgets I find that make travel/life easier overall so I figured I’d try to share some of them over the next few days if/when I can for those of you still doing your holiday shopping. I have a few posts on packing tips, car accessories, and even refrigerated coolers, etc. already out there if those are specific things you are looking for. In the meantime, I also get alerted to some great deals through the Amazon Associates program, and when I see big deals on products I love on those lists, I figured I should share that with all of you.
Just to clarify, we are an Amazon Associate so I do make a small (usually 1-5%) commission on anything you purchase through links I share. It’s at no extra cost to you, still gets you a great deal, and allows a little extra to help cover all the time I put into all of this. (If you are feeling really generous but don’t want to spend any more money than you would already anyway, I will get commission on ANYTHING else you buy through my link as well, so if you follow a link to buy a product I recommend, and see other things you like, I’ll get commission on any of those things you add (never knowing who or what was bought). This lets you get your holiday shopping done at the same price you would have paid anyway, but helps out our (very) small business as we grow and is HUGELY appreciated!
So, on to the fun stuff… Here are the latest deals that I found. I aim to keep these mostly travel-related, as that’s why y’all follow me, but if I see other things I have and really love, I’ll add those too as who knows, you might be interested in other options as well. (Totally unrelated to our RTWK website, Amazon also invited me to be a “Vine” reviewer earlier this year, so I get “free” (I pay income tax on total value) products for my honest (they aren’t all positive) reviews. So, I really do get to see and experience a lot of neat things I might not have otherwise bought for myself.
(Apologies, if you are seeing longer links instead of pictures to click on, that’s just because I’m still learning this website stuff and am even worse out of practice. It’s not as pretty but the long links, or even clicking on any underlined word should pull up a link to the item I’m describing. I’d rather get these deals out to you quicker than wait until I can figure out how to fix this. Thanks for your understanding!)
PACKING HELP:
For those of you who’ve read my packing tips, you know I am a HUGE advocate of packing cubes, and I’m personally an eBags loyalist. That said, many people who travel may be looking for a cheaper option for something they may not use as much and this is a great deal on a good-size set that is already a cheaper brand and looks like it could do pretty well for you so I thought I’d share the link.

I LOVE a collapsible bag and these BAGO ones work great. We have bought them now in a few different sizes. We specifically always use a duffle for shoes, laundry, and winter coats and accessories as it’s nice that they can collapse down when you are using/wearing that stuff, or keep it zipped up empty and small in your luggage when you head out and not open it up til you need it. They are a great way to bring souvenirs back when you have no room left when you pack a full bag and need all that space. They have a great variety of colors and sizes to choose from as well. We mostly use 60L or 80L sizes as the bigger ones get tougher to manage, but you can go much bigger still if it works for you (or smaller if it’s easier) and these bags are sturdy enough for almost anything you can throw at (in?) them! You can see measurements for each bag updated in the description as you click on the different sizes.

OUTDOORS:
For those of you who love a campfire, Magical Flames Color Fire Packets are a neat way to add a little extra fun. The colors don’t take over the whole fire, but they do come through and it’s neat to watch them change. The kids LOVE them and can’t wait to use them. There are greater discounts if you buy in greater bulk, just think about how many campfires you realistically think you will do when you decide how many you want to get. We do sometimes use 2-3 on a long campfire.

BOTH TRAVEL AND HOME:
I love my Kindle Paperwhite. We live in a condo during most of the year and travel about 3 months out of the year, so space is very limited and precious to me. These are a great way to save paper/planet as well as save LOTS of space in your home or luggage. For reading at home or on the go, I see this as a must-have for all book lovers and it’s now on sale! There are a lot of ebook sales going on right now too so you can get started with it right away!

PHOTOGRAPHY:
If you are like me, you’ll end up with TONS of pictures after a great trip and want to frame them all. A digital picture frame is an excellent solution to this! (or a great gift for pretty much anyone if you have those people who already have everything and/or you just don’t know what to buy them.) This link is going to a phenomenal lightning deal at 50% off which will expire once they are all claimed, but there are lots of great sales on many different digital frames right now (at all sizes and price points,) so if this one has expired, just shop around, these are a phenomenal way to keep your greatest travel memories alive on the walls of your home when we all eventually have to get back to the daily grind.

NON-TRAVEL-RELATED:
This hand massager was actually on my stretch wish list for last year but I could never justify the price. When it came up through the Vine program I jumped at the chance to try it out. I REALLY enjoy it. It’s not as good as a hand massage done by a human, but it’s very relaxing and I particularly love the heat. I also love that it’s available to me whenever I want it and I’ve definitely used it enough times now that it has paid for itself. At full price, it’s a lot for someone unless you really think you’ll use it all the time, but it’s on huge discount right now and a great way to pamper yourself or a loved one.

Okay, that’s the stuff that stands out today. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post every day (and can pretty much guarantee that the next few days are completely futile as the kids finish up school for the year, but I’m going to TRY to pull out other deals to share with you where I can, either in a post on the website, or just on our Facebook page in a quick post if nothing else. I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season as much as I am, even when it can be utterly exhausting as well!! CHEERS, and enjoy those trips for those who will be traveling!
