I find Europe to be a bit dressier overall. These can still be casual and comfortable, but work great with my black yoga slacks for when I want to dress a little nicer.

While it's super nice to put on warm boots before going out in the snow, it's equally miserable if you are doing a lot of walking or hiking and have soaked your shoes through the day before.
